Statement of Purpose

Aims and Objectives

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide accommodation for people who need personal care, who may also have mental health conditions, physical disabilities or sensory impairments. We also care for adults over 65 years of age.  While aiming to look after their needs, we will support and encourage them to do what they are able to do for themselves, in order that they may maximise their potential and live the fullest possible life.  Although we do not provide nursing care, we aim to provide continuing care in the resident’s own room, if it is within the scope of our registration and abilities, it is medically reasonable to do so and relatives are in support.

Kind and Range of services provided

Those catered for are, by reason of their age or health, not able to continue to live independently.  They may need assistance with getting up/going to bed, washing, dressing, toileting, eating, mobility, medication and communication.  Their need of assistance with this is assessed and detailed in their care plan.  To this end we provide these services: full personal care assistance, laundry and ironing, all meal preparation and cooking.  We arrange in house visits from: doctor, district nurse, hairdresser, optician, physiotherapist, dentist, chiropodist, solicitor and other professionals as needed.  We also provide suitable accommodation in a private bedroom with washing facilities and access to a bathroom.  There are toilets around the building and communal rooms: dinning room, lounge, conservatory, library for the use of the residents.  In addition, we ensure that the Home considers the residents’ social, spiritual and emotional needs and do all we can to promote the resident’s own personal interests, providing activities and occasional visiting entertainment.  Visitors are encouraged and made welcome, so that outside contacts are maintained.
